I was super lucky this year and was surprised by close friends with a cake from the magnificent “Cakes and more by Arlette Aranibar”.
If you know me, you know I am South Africans. Americans claim they grow up with a lot of sugar but I disagree. South Africans are exposed to a ton of sugary goodness. It may be different now but thats how it was when I was growing up.
Everything was caramel when I was growing up there. Caramel doughnuts…no…not maple…CARAMEL. Covered and filled with caramel. Caramel cakes. Caramel vanilla cupcakes. Caramel ice cream. Caramel cookies. Caramel swiss roll or “yule log”. You get the picture
I also have a love for water and photographing splashes and water droplets.
I was missing that caramel taste that so dominated my life…then surprise! I was presented with the best tasting caramel or dulce de leche cake ever!
You can reach out to her and see more of her work on her facebook page. I am warning you though, you might drool a little. My favorite part of her cake style is you will often see a combo of cake with cookies and they are divine! You can reach out to her, here.
Check out how my friends surprised me with butterflies here….how did everyone come together on this theme!? So funny.
Let's chit-chat!
