I love doing event photography because it means I can do anything for my client. We can incorporate headshots, product shots as well as the actual events unfolding during the day. It is probably the most versatile service I can offer clients. I wanted to put together a few examples of how images can be used.
How are photographs used?
It depends on the purpose of the images. Typically you will find photographs I do can be used in:
- Profile photos on social media channels
- Banner images on websites and social media channels
- Webpages about specific things
- Posters
- Pamphlets
- Brochures
- Proposals
- End of year report
- Articles
- and so much more
Examples of some of these will be in the screenshots and photographs below. I do headshots all the time but I have found that event photography is definitely the most versatile photography I offer that can be used in a multitude of ways.
Headshots can be use on business cards, social media channels and even banner images.
Photographs of products with negative space can be used as informative posters.
Photographs of events can be used in multiple ways, one of which is incorporating them into brochures. Others can be posters or pamphlets. Depending on what work you need done its sometimes good to pair up with a designer. The designer here was Michael Walton.
Here is another example of how photographs I have done can be used. Photographing at an event is sometimes the most versatile kind of photography you can hire me for. With the event photography I did for South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity I was able to give them photographs that could be used in many ways over different products in web and physical form. You can also check out how event photography I did for them was used in Habitat’s annual report here.
These photographs from a family session were used in an online article.
Getting photographs of the space for SPS Habitat for Humanity’s website helps people understand the space that is being converted for families homes 🙂
Photographs of their store were helpful in showing the elements that make up the Habitat Store.
Women Build is an international annual event held by Habitat for Humanity. I photograph this event everyday 5-8 day event. During which I get detail, group and individual shots of all the work the volunteers are doing. The images are then used from handouts, to posters, to registration and donation webpages.
Sometimes headshots are needed but sometimes businesses need group shots too. Here is an example of both of those and how this company used both.
Olympia Harbor Days, a 3 day event…has many volunteers and sponsors. That means we need photographs so that it can be used to thank everyone. This is one of the banner collages Olympia Harbor Days media team put together using photography I did for them to help thank everyone.
