The Manor at South Bay, a venue that has something for everyone
The Manor at South Bay is one of the most beautiful and largest venues I have had the privilege of photographing.
If you are looking for a beautiful bright clean country looking location this is the one for you.
What are the perks of Manor at South Bay?
There is room to roam! Outdoors especially, there are two barns and a garden. You get to have a break from the red if you have the ceremony in the garden area.
The two barns are decorative but also functional. The larger one can house guests and is enough room for a dance floor and the floor is reflective so its creates a nice atmosphere if your DJ has lighting. The second barn is smaller but is a great photo backdrop on the front, back and inside. You may even run across a cat or two, they’ll steal the show for a minute
The outdoor area is perfect for seating and mingling. There are barrels placed between the barns that double up as cocktail tables. Then in front of the barns is perfect for tables during the ceremony.
The fence is lovely because it’s a great way to filter people through to be seated. It is also a wonderful natural receiving line space. Read the article on the importance of a receiving line here.
I didn’t mention the inside yet. There is a house you can get ready in, it has a pool! Anyway there are many cute photo opportunities within the house, a wardrobe that even feels a little Narnia like. The chandeliers everywhere are beautiful too.
There are animals everywhere. Today I saw goats and horses.
This whole area has something for everyone to do no matter the age.
Because there is so much on this property its creates the perfect backdrop for the elements that make up a wedding. Such as a ceremony, receiving line, dance and even first look. You can see the variety that occurred here in the images below.
According to the Manor at South Bay’s website they are taking weddings during the month of August. You can learn more on their website here. Reach out to Misti.
