This is my favorite time of the year. Every time I eat strawberries, I feel incredibly happy! When I first came across one of the Spooner Berry Farms stalls, I was curious, when I tired one of them, I was hooked!
Now every year this time I buy as many as I can, for the year. I wash, dry, and freeze them. Its quite the process.
Right now, you can get strawberries from their “Main Berry Barn” stand on Yelm Highway. 3327 Yelm Hwy SE, Olympia, WA, 98501. A full flat right now is $28.
Hawks Prairie, Olympia Farmers Market, Purdy, their Farm, Yelm, North Seattle, Westside Seattle, Centralia, Shelton, Aberdeen, Olympia, and Tumwater. Check out their addresses here.
9am until they sell out. I have had a lot of luck going to the address mentioned above.
Strawberries in June. Raspberries in July. Marionberries in July. Blackberries in July. Blueberries in August. Honey all the time, it is awesome!
The Spooner Strawberries are much loved in this house, and I have always loved photographing produce with water. It is exceedingly difficult to do so I opted for several different kinds of photographs this time. My favorites are when my hubby helped me out.
My stepsons seem to be blueberries, seen as how there will be a crater of them missing by the time we get home.
Let's chit-chat!
